After
months of behind-the-scenes organizing, the Shelburne Farmer's
Market will have its debut on Saturday, the 27th June from 8am
until 12 noon. The Market is located at the Loyalist Plaza on
Water Street (former IGA and SaveEasy) and will be there every Saturday
through until October. The vendors attending will be offering
things such as fresh fruit and vegetables, smoked fish, meats
& pates, baked
goods, jams, jellies, chutneys and honey and fresh flowers.
A ribbon-cutting
ceremony at 8:00am will feature Charlotte Lane Cafe chef and
owner Roland Glauser and an assortment of local civic leaders. Glauser
says he looks forward to cooking top-quality dishes using
locally produced, seasonal foods and to buying produce and such
from local vendors, as does Lothar Mayer of Lothar’s Cafe in
town.
